Prompt (or Theme if applicable):

I've been dreadful at updating this, to say nothing of writing for it- so if you're still paying attention to this place, please accept my apologies. :)

I'll keep updating because I haven't been writing all that much Ani-fic lately, and I need inspiration, and, well, why not?

Topic: Milk Bottles! You know, the white vaguely vanilla-flavored things you get in the mixed lollies?
19 March 2013 @ 05:24 pm
These unbearably sour lollies lend themselves to all sorts of metaphors. Or, if you want to be literal, you can have a character's friend or family member having to deal with eating a real one. ;)

For our first confectionery-themed prompt, we go bright and aniseedy (no, not Ani-seedy, though if your drabble includes a pun on this, you'll win an internet's worth of sour worms).

Sweet drabbling, lovelies!

This week we're mixing it up a little. You must write a minimum of three drabbles crossing the Animorphs fandom with any other fandom/s of your choice. Note that this is NOT the same as a 300-word fic; each drabble can be connected to the others or be a segment of the same 'verse, but must also stand alone.

You can write each drabble for a separate fandom, or all your drabbles can cross over with the same fandom.

Your prompt today is,

"And a curse too upon your errand!"

- The Silmarillion, "Of Turin Turambar"

This is said by Turin to Mablung's company at the end of the chapter.

Your quote for this week is,

"In huts on the beaches would you be living still, had not [we] carved out your haven and toiled upon your walls."
- J.R.R. Tolkien, The Silmarillion.

In context this is used by the Noldor, a group of elves, to destroy their distant cousins' homes and possessions; the justification is essentially, "You owe us. We helped you, now help us."

Title: Mercy
Author: joking
Prompt (or Theme if applicable) Tolkien, "It was pity that stayed his hand, and mercy, not to strike without need."
Characters: Tobias, Jake
Rating: All Ages
